Weekly trips to the library.

My mom took us to the library every week, more often in the summer as we filled our hours. Maybe because it was free, with nine kids that was important. She also knew it was important to instill a love of reading. It took me years to realize her book recommendations to me had strong female characters, which inspired me to write them.

I wrote a paper in the sixth grade about the human races and wondered “What if ethereal beings had influenced our evolution?”  Decades later The Fledglings took form, as a fictional ancient society.

Between the sixth grade and writing the Sakrosians trilogy, I studied design in Ohio, and had 30+ year career in Florida as a licensed designer working on office, restaurant, spa, theme park venues and other projects.

Now I am focused on writing Fantasy and Historical Fiction.  With five stories buzzing around in my head, can’t wait to see which one lands on the page next.
